I Hope It Will Get Better

Towards A New Horizon

I am
Sea of uncertainty
Sahara of glass
Unmarked by
What has gone before

Clouded sky
No map or compass:
I weave my own
With bloody heartstrings
Torn beating out‑‑

Goddess weeps,
Fates spin and snip
The fabric knots and ravels
When will it be
Wrinkle free,
Womancheek smooth again?

Was it ever?

I sail on, adrift
But pulled, lost
Yet carried where I
Must be in this Now,
Given the gift of
Strength and tears
